Marc B. Barker-Naylor - International Concert Organist

Following his graduation from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 1985, where he studied the organ with Bernard Oram and Conducting with Vilem Tausky and Leonard Bernstein, Marc furthered his studies with Jane Parker-Smith. It was during this period that Marc decided to specialise in the Romantic and Modern repertoire for the organ. Marc has given many recitals Internationally at such venues as the Sydney Opera House, The Robert Blackwood Hall (Melbourne) and the Tonhalle, Zurich. At home, he has performed at St. Paul's Cathedral, St. Bride's Church, Fleet Street, St. Mary-le-Bow, and St. Sepulchre=without-Newgate, to name but a few.

In 2016, Dr. Barker-Naylor was invited to accept the post of Organist & Master of the Choir at St. Katherine's Cathedral in Lincoln. Marc has already started by instating a series of regular Lunchtime Recitals every Friday at 1.00 p.m. many of which he gives on the historic Jardine & Kirtland Grand Organ. In 2019 he gave a concert in aid of the fire damage caused at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. 

In the coming months, the organ at St. Katherine's will be completed and this will be followed by two series of International Organ Recitals, the details of which will be included on this website.
